Description
This is a 19th-century barn located about 15 metres west of Mead Farmhouse in Sedbury. The barn is constructed of rendered rubble and features a Welsh slate roof, gabled at both ends and sloping down on the south front, which has a two-storey hipped full-height porch. The south front includes ventilation slits on each side and a pair of plank stable doors beneath a brick segmental arch, with a smaller opening above. Each gable has a plank loading door and a ventilation slit, while the east gable, which faces the farmhouse, has a plank door with an attached flanking light. At the back, there is another pair of plank doors. The barn has a five-bay collar and tie roof with very slight wind-bracing, and the floors are supported by steel joists. The upper level of the porch is separated from the main barn area by a wall.
