Description

Severn Lodge is a late 18th or early 19th century dwelling. It is constructed with a rendered exterior and an ashlar stone cornice which extends to both ends, and has a slate roof. The main block is compact with a parallel range extension and a projecting wing to the rear, right. The house is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The windows are 4-pane sashes with wide stone sills, and the ashlar incorporates marked voussoirs. The central door is a 6-panel door with linings, a fine fanlight, and a simple open pediment hood supported by beaded consoles. To the right return, there is an octagonal, two-storey bay with a flat roof, featuring 4-pane sashes to each of three sides and a cill band at first floor level. Above the bay are a pair of French doors.
