Description

Gloucester House is a detached Regency villa dating to the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco with a Welsh slate roof extending to deep box eaves, and has brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and originally had three windows. The front features 12-pane sash windows above pairs of French doors, each with external shutters, and a central six-panel flush door, partially glazed, beneath a four-pane transom light. A continuous tent verandah is supported by decorative ironwork, incorporating a flat, three-centred frieze. A two-window return wall on the right-hand side features two 12-pane sashes.
