Description

Wirewoods Green Manor is a detached dwelling, likely dating to the late 18th or 19th century. It is located on Elm Road, Tidenham, with parts of the property situated on ST 59 NW and ST 59 SW. Originally known as Wirewoods House, it presents an H-shaped, symmetrical design. The house is built with rendered and ashlar exterior finishes, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring large external gable stacks on both the left and right sides. It is two storeys high, though blank panels are present within the gable spaces, creating the impression of additional height. The gabled wings each have two 12-pane sash windows over one, while the recessed central section has three 12-pane sash windows. The ground floor window on the right side is an exception, featuring 16 panes. The central entrance has a six-panel door with glazing. A late 19th-century, two-storey octagonal bay window is set into the right return side, and contains plate glass sashes. The interior, which has not been inspected, is reported to contain contemporary doors and shutters. The exterior of the building has remained largely unspoiled.
