Description

The look-out tower in the garden to the north of Pen-Y-Bryn is a folly, likely built in the early 19th century. It is a hollow circular structure made of roughly coursed rubble, with much of the wall core exposed. The tower stands approximately 7 metres high and has an outside diameter of about 5 metres. There are two rough openings on opposite sides, facing roughly southeast and northwest. At the time of the survey in November 1983, the tower was noted to be in need of stabilisation.
