Description
This is an early 19th-century barn, which is marked on the 1830 Ordnance Survey map. It is constructed from roughly coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof that runs along a north-south axis. The barn has a prominent high gabled porch on the west side and consists of six bays, each with ventilation slits. The roof is supported by light trusses made of tie beams and collars, with two rows of purlins that are staggered at the principals. The northern gable end is integrated into a two-storey cart shed that includes a hayloft above and a feed store extending to the east. This section is also made of coursed rubble but has yellow brick dressings, with boarded doors and shutters that sit under cambered heads.
