Description

This is a large barn, likely dating from the 18th century, with two cart bays incorporated into its right side. The barn is constructed of limewashed stone rubble, with a Welsh slate roof and corrugated metal sheeting. The main barn range features opposing double doors with a hood above, and a single row of ventilation slits – two on the left and one on the right – set high in the walls. Smaller ventilators are also present in the gable end walls. The cart bays are distinguished by their wide, elliptical arches.

Inside, the barn has a lofted space and is divided by a stone wall that separates the cart bays below. The roof structure features tie beams and collars, connected with lap dovetail joints, and three rows of trenched purlins.
