Description

The Pennorth railway bridge is a high bridge that carries the road south of Llangorse Lake over a deep railway cutting. It is constructed from snecked rockfaced sandstone. The arch features diamond-shaped voussoirs with smooth narrow arises, which are also present on the projecting abutments on either side. There is a stringcourse at the level of the parapet, although it is mostly obscured by vegetation. The coping consists of large rockfaced blocks.
