Description
Ysgubor Newydd is a long rectangular barn built of stone rubble, featuring some dressed stone dressings and a corrugated roof. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension made of stone rubble. The barn has seven bays with symmetrical central opposing double plank doors. It includes three tiers of ventilation slits on the sides and five at the gable ends. There is a separate door to the lean-to cattle shed, which uses the former left gable end wall for its right jamb.
The roof is supported by pegged trusses that include a tie beam and collar, along with three rows of trenched purlins. The splays of the ventilation slits have sharp arises.
