Description
Hafod-Dwyryd Barn is a large barn constructed with roughly-coursed slate slabs set on foundations of massive roughly-dressed boulders. It features centrally-placed doorways on each long side, which have segmental heads made of narrow voussoirs and corbelled slate hoodmoulds. The barn includes two tiers of staggered ventilation slits. The roof consists of six bays supported by five collar and tie-beam trusses, although it is currently covered with modern corrugated material. To the north, there is a later addition of a low cowshed that is slightly offset from the barn's line. The cowshed has a door with a stone lintel facing west, and both structures have rubble walls and a slate roof.
