Description
Nos 1-3 Church View, Penmachno, form a terrace of three two-window houses likely dating from the later 1850s. They were built around the time of the parish church's rebuilding.
The houses are constructed of roughly coursed rubble stone to the front, with rubble stone sides and rear. They have slate roofs with four tall, rectangular stone chimneys featuring water tabling. The roof overhangs at the gable ends, finished with plain bargeboards. The houses are set offset to the right within their building block. Each house has two small, square casement windows on the ground floor, below which is a doorway (to the right) and a vertically proportioned two-light casement window. The ground floor windows and doorways are set beneath deep stone lintels. They have simple boarded doors. The rear roof slopes down to ground floor level.
