Description
28, 29, and 30 Well Street is a terrace of three houses built in the mid-19th century. The front of the houses is made of white brick, while the sides are rendered and the rear is constructed of red brick. They feature a double-pitched slate roof with shallow twin gables on the flank wall and a modillion eaves soffit.
The terrace is three storeys high with basements and has a three-window arrangement, with each house breaking forward between the window and the door. The ground and first storeys have 12-pane sash windows, while the second storey has 6-pane sash windows. All windows are set in plain shallow reveals with flat gauged brick arches and projecting stone sills. Houses 28 and 29 have external slatted shutters on the ground storey windows.
Each house has a four-panelled door with applied mouldings and plain rectangular fanlights, which are flanked by plain pilasters and topped with heavy architraves and projecting cornices. The interior has not been inspected.
