Description
St John's Vicarage, also known as Number 36, is part of a terrace of three houses built in the early to mid 19th century. The building is constructed of white brick and features slate roofs with a wide eaves overhang and mutules on the soffit. The roof above No. 36 is shaped like a pediment. There are four high rectangular chimney-stacks, each topped with two terracotta pots, evenly spaced across the roofs.
The exterior consists of two storeys, attics, and cellars, with a total of nine windows. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in shallow reveals, with flat gauged arches and projecting stone sills. Each house has a doorway located to the right of the front, featuring a segmental-arched brick opening, a recessed wood doorcase with Tuscan columns, a segmental fanlight, and a six-panel door. The interior has not been inspected.
