Description
38 and 39 Well Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of white brick and feature a slate roof with a wide eaves soffit and two 20th-century roof lights. The buildings are two storeys high and have cellars. The upper storey has a four-window range of 12-pane sash windows set in shallow reveals with flat gauged arches. The ground storey has two deep tripartite sashes with narrow side-lights, which previously had external shutters that have since been removed. There are two matching doors and doorcases, each featuring a recessed four-panel door with a plain rectangular fanlight above. The wood doorcases are adorned with Doric pilasters and cornices. The interior has not been inspected.
