Description
44 and 45 Well Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of white brick and feature a slate roof with a wide, plain eaves soffit. The buildings rise three storeys and include cellars. The façade has a two-window range, with 16-pane sash windows on the ground and first storeys, and 8-pane windows on the second storey. All windows are set in plain reveals with flat gauged arches and have projecting stone sills. Below the ground storey windows, there are barred cellar openings. The entrance features two semicircular arched brick doorways, each with slightly recessed six-panel doors in plain wood doorcases, and fanlights with radial glazing-bars. Additionally, there is a recessed cast-iron footscraper beside each door. The interior has not been inspected.
