Description
The building is a 17th-century barn located on Margery Lane, Newland. It is constructed of rubble stone and has a stone slate roof, with a lean-to extension to the left and a lower extension to the right, both with slate roofs. The barn is L-shaped. It features two cart entries, one on a projecting hipped gable with squared stone jambs, and both with large double boarded doors in two pairs. The projecting ends of the L-shape each have three bays, with the central core being one large bay. This central section has collar and tie trusses and trenched purlins. There are ventilating slits on the north wall, and additional square vent holes are located above.
