Description

The Wyndham Arms is a late 16th-century inn. It is constructed of rough cast and painted rubble stone, with a double Roman tile roof on a projecting gable and asbestos slate to the remainder. The building is L-shaped and two storeys high with an attic. The gable features a jettied first floor supported by a bressumer beam with projecting joist ends. A small gabled porch is located to one side. To the right of the porch is a stone mullioned and transomed window on the first floor, and a mullioned window below, both with hood moulds. Little of the original interior remains, but a large stone lintel fireplace is present at the rear of the projecting gable.
