Description

Glynderi is a Regency style house featuring a main building constructed of scored rendered brick, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof and narrow lateral stacks. An attached L-shaped wing is primarily made of painted stone rubble, also with a Welsh slate roof that is slightly hipped towards the garden and has an end stack on the opposite side. The main range consists of three storeys and a cellar, showcasing three 8/8 pane sash windows set in reveals with narrow painted sills on the first floor, along with a small 4 pane light positioned centre right. The upper floor has 3/6 pane sashes, while the ground floor features 8/8 pane sashes on either side of a central gabled porch adorned with decorative barge-boards. The doorway to the house includes a panelled door, panelled reveals, and a bracketed entablature.

The rear elevation facing the garden mirrors the front but has narrower windows, with 8/8 pane sashes on the first floor and a platband above, 3/6 pane attic windows, and ground floor openings that were altered in the 1990s by the addition of a large conservatory, although the cellar windows below have been retained. An earlier lean-to conservatory is attached to the south. The two-storey wing features one 6/6 pane and one 8/8 pane sash window on the first floor, with altered windows under cambered arches below. The garden frontage likely includes an inserted 8/8 pane sash at the first floor level. There is a walled garden to the south.

Inside, the property retains six panelled doors and a Regency basket arch between two ground floor rooms on the right. A staircase with wreathed handrails ascends from the left behind the front. Fireplaces on the upper floors are reputedly still in place.
