Description

This description covers a group of two table tombs located in the churchyard south of the church of St Michael and All Angels. The Watkins tomb, positioned near the south wall of the nave, is a simple stone table tomb featuring a moulded and incised slab on top. The main inscription is found on the south panel, while a secondary inscription is located on the north panel. It stands on a plain stone plinth.

The smaller Williams tomb, situated to the south and set directly into the soil, has a main inscription in large lettering beneath a garland on the slab. The secondary inscription is on the south panel and is divided into two parts. The ends of this tomb are uniquely decorated with shallow relief carvings: to the east, there are flowers in an urn, and to the west, there is a degraded inscribed circle.
