Description
Neuadd is a large rectangular farmhouse dating from the 18th century, featuring a lower rear service wing that is set at right angles to the main structure. The building is constructed of stone rubble, rendered on the front and sides, with a Welsh slate roof on the front and clay tiles on the rear. It has slightly swept eaves, a rendered end stack on the front left, and a large stone lateral stack at the rear.
The main house is two storeys high, with an attic and cellar, and has a central hall and staircase layout with deep single-depth rooms. The front facade has a five-window range of 8/8 pane horned sashes with shallow sills, and a platband that divides the storeys, along with a central recessed doorway. At the rear, there are two blocked earlier windows under stone hoods on the ground floor, and above them, two small windows, one rectangular with a stone hood and a central casement. There is also a rear doorway and window leading to a passage. The rear wing features segmental arched windows and a doorway, with some alterations made.
Inside, the central hall includes a doglegged staircase with balusters. To the left, there is a dining room with an altered fireplace that retains part of its surround. The former hall on the right has been divided to create a parlour and a cider cellar, with axial beams present throughout.
