Description

This is a pair of tall chest tombs made of sandstone, located in the churchyard to the southwest of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. The southern tomb belongs to the Bevan family and features a primary inscription on the east side, with additional inscriptions on the south and west sides. It has attached colonettes at the corners, a decorative frieze, and an overhanging cornice that rises to an iron fitting for a former urn, which is now broken and lying beneath the tomb. The tomb stands on four stone feet set on a tiered stone base.

The northern tomb is dedicated to the Morgan family and has a primary inscription on the south side and another on the east side. This chest is splayed outward to a deep moulded plinth, and it features a heavy moulded pedimented cornice that is topped by a large fluted urn, which is now split.
