Description

The barn immediately north of Street Farmhouse is a small structure dated 1818, featuring the initials "SS" on its south gable end. It is constructed of rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and has a stone slate roof that is half-hipped to the south, while the north end is covered with corrugated iron. The barn has opposed projecting gabled cart entries just north of a drop in the roof line. The eastern entry has a timber lintel and double doors, while the western entry has been blocked to create a single door accessed by three stone steps.

The northern section of the barn has a corrugated iron roof and includes a stable door on the east side, as well as a later lean-to in the southeast corner. The taller southern section features two slit vents with plain stone surrounds above the lean-to, and a loft door on the south gable, which has inserted brick quoins and iron steps leading to the ground. The west side has been partly altered with brick infill and relieving arches at the end of the upper half, which previously served as a two-bay cart shed. This area includes a stone dividing pillar, a large timber lintel, and two 20th-century sliding doors. To the left of the main entry, there is a plank door with a timber lintel.
