Description
The barn located to the south-west of Street Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and red brick, topped with a stone slate half-hipped roof. The barn features a half-hipped, projecting off-centre cart entry on the west side, with a plain opposed entry on the east side. The east side includes an ashlar right jamb for the cart entry, ashlar flush quoins at the north end, and a brick left jamb. There are double doors to the right, two boarded upper loading doors to the left, and a brick loop with a door at the left end. The west side has a brick-fronted cart entry with a timber lintel and an ashlar dove-entry in the gable. The walling to the left is red brick, which was formerly part of a stone lean-to, and includes one broad opening. The longer range to the right has one upper loading door, a brick loop, and a small window at the right end. The south end wall is made of rubble and features a loading door. The barn consists of six bays lined with brick, with two separate sections at each end.
