Description
The stable at Street Farm is a small stable block dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features alternating flush quoins and a hipped stone slate roof. The building has five bays, with fixed 9-pane lights on the left, center, and right sides, and a shuttered loft opening above the left light. There are stable doors to the left and right of the center, with a shuttered loft opening above the right door. All ground floor openings are framed with plain stone voussoirs, while the loft openings have timber lintels. To the left, there is a small lean-to garage with brick above the opening, which is not considered of special interest. Although modest in appearance, this stable is an important part of the group that includes Street Farmhouse and the barn.
