Description

The Villas is a former pair of houses, now a detached house, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with rendered chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two two-storey rear wings. The front facade has a three-window arrangement, all with recessed cavetto mullioned casements that include hoodmoulds; the outer windows are three-light, while the central upper floor window is two-light. There is a central doorway and another doorway at the right end, both featuring timber lintels and plank doors. The building has two chimneys mounted on the ridge. At the rear, there are two rendered 20th-century rear wings, each with a single-storey end lean-to. The Villas occupies an important position on the corner.
