Description

This is a row of two houses, dating from the early to mid-18th century. The houses are constructed from random rubble limestone, with rendered chimneys and a stone slate roof. The building comprises a single storey with an attic, and incorporates a cross wing projecting forward to the left. The gable end of the cross wing has a timber casement window on each side, both with timber lintels. To the right of this wing is a doorway with a timber lintel and plank door, accompanied by a casement window. A single gabled roof dormer is present above. Vine Cottage continues to the right, featuring a 20th-century porch to the left of a two-window arrangement with casement windows on the ground floor, and two gabled roof dormers. Two ridge chimneys are visible. The west end of the building has scattered timber casement windows with timber lintels on the cross wing, along with three eaves-mounted gabled roof dormers. An outshut with a hipped roof is located at the east end. The interiors have not been inspected.
