Description
Sunnyside is a detached house located in Southrop, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, with rubble rebuilt chimneys and roofs made of stone slate and artificial stone slate. The house is two stories high with an attic. There is a significant 20th-century addition at the west end, which is not of special interest.
The front of the house features a two-window arrangement, with all windows being recessed chamfered mullioned casements that have hoodmoulds, but these are only present on the ground floor. The ground floor has three-light windows, while the upper floor has two-light windows. There is a small single-light window to the right on the ground floor. The central doorway has a chamfered opening and is fitted with 20th-century glazed doors. The roof has two gabled dormers and two chimneys mounted on the ridge. At the rear, there is a gable with a single-storey outshut. The interior has not been inspected.
