Description

BARRINGTON THE GREEN, SP 2012-2112 Little Barrington Village 11/103 Village Farm Cottage GV II Detached cottage. C19. Limestone rubble. Stone slate roofing on the side facing the green, concrete tile on the opposite side. Ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan with small extension rear left. Single-storey extension with a corrugated-iron roof at rear, not of special interest. Two storeys. Facade facing away from the road; two 2-light wooden casements flanking a single small 4-pane casement. Single 2-light wooden casement to ground floor left of central doorway (now blocked). All openings on the ground floor with cambered heads. Single-storey stone extension projects forwards to left. C19 plank door within C20 porch to left of the stone built extension. Roadside front; two 2-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, flanking a single light within a double-chamfered stone surround. Blocked window with cambered head on the left gable end. Blocked doorway at first floor level on the right gable end. Roof; gable-end and lateral stacks. Flat coping at gable ends. Interior not inspected.
