Description
Village Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with later extensions. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building has coursed squared and dressed limestone stacks. The main structure is rectangular and two-storey, with a symmetrical three-windowed facade. On the ground floor, there are two four-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with king mullions. The first floor has similar two and three-light stone-mullioned casements. All windows are fitted with stopped hoods and leaded panes, and there are similar windows at the rear.
To the left, there is a two-bay single-storey extension that includes a 19th-century four-panel door set back within a flat-chamfered surround. This extension also has a three-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement, which partly retains diamond-leaded panes. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension at the rear right, which features pigeon holes in the gable end. The main body has gable-end stacks, and there is a twin-stack with moulded capping and skirting at the rear of the extension, which now serves as the entrance. The interior has not been inspected.
