Description
Lowicks is a mid-19th century cottage located in Little Barrington Village. It is one of a pair of contemporary cottages, the other being Ivy Cottage. The building features coursed squared and dressed limestone along with brick, and has a roof made of stone slate and concrete tiles. It has a rectangular plan with an almost contemporary extension at right angles to the rear. The main body of the cottage has two 2-light 19th-century casement windows with cambered-headed surrounds on both the ground and first floors. The rear extension also has similar 2 and 3-light casements, all of which include horizontal glazing bars. A 20th-century part-glazed door with glazing bars is set within a cambered-headed surround at the rear extension. The interior has not been inspected.
