Description

Brook Cottage is a 19th-century cottage located in a row within Little Barrington Village. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by a single rendered 20th-century two-light eaves dormer. The facade features three windows, with three 2-light metal casements on the first floor and one 4-light metal casement on the ground floor, all of which have glazing bars. There is a part-glazed door on the lower right side, set within the blocking of a segmental-headed double width archway. Above the door, there is a flat stone capping with a moulded margin, supported by moulded stone brackets. The cottage is included for its group value.
