Description
Dunford House is a detached house, originally two cottages, dating from the 19th century. It is built of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof that previously featured ashlar stacks, which have been restored in the same limestone. The house has a rectangular plan with later extensions at the rear and stands two storeys tall with an attic.
The facade is symmetrical with two windows. The ground floor has 20th-century three-light stone-mullioned casements, while the first floor features 2-light stone-mullioned casements. There is a central 20th-century plank door with strap hinges set within a flat-chamfered surround. A small single-light casement with a stone surround is located in the right gable end, providing light to the attic. The gable-end stacks have been restored in the 20th century and feature moulded cappings and skirtings. The interior has not been inspected.
