Description

Post Box Cottage is a 19th-century cottage located at the end of a row in Little Barrington, on The Green. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof and a limestone stack. The cottage has a rectangular plan and a two-storey, two-windowed front facade. The upper floor has two 20th-century two-light wooden casement windows. The ground floor has a four-light casement window and a 20th-century part-glazed door to the lower right, sheltered by a flat stone canopy with moulded margins, supported on moulded stone brackets. The roofline is lower than that of the adjacent Brook Cottage. A gable-end stack is visible. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included on the list for its group value.
