Description
Corner Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century to mid-18th century. It is built of limestone rubble with a stone slate roof at the front and a concrete tile roof at the rear. The stacks, which were restored in the 20th century, are made of limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. The cottage has a rectangular plan with a small extension on the left gable end and a flat-roofed 20th-century extension to the rear, which is not of special interest.
The building is 1 and a half storeys tall, featuring a two-windowed facade with two gablets. On the lower right, there is a three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement, while the far left has a single-light wooden casement. Each gablet has a two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement, all of which are topped with stopped hoods. The central entrance is a 20th-century plank door with a timber lintel. Additionally, there is a three-light stone-mullioned casement with a relieving arch on the left gable end, along with gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
