Description
No. 4, located to the right of the Post Office in Guiting Power, is a house that dates from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century. It is constructed from large blocks of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with some areas rebuilt in smaller stone. The roof is made of limestone slate and features a limestone stack. The building has a rectangular lobby entry plan, with an access passage to the rear on the right side.
It stands two stories high and has an original half dormer on the left and a rebuilt half dormer on the right. The house has two windows; the left dormer features an original stone-mullioned window with a stopped hood, while the other windows are 19th-century stone-mullioned windows with two and three lights, complete with horizontal glazing bars. The central entrance is a plank door with a thumb latch set in a flat-chamfered surround. There is a central stack in the building. The interior has not been inspected.
