Description
Bell House is a house located in a row on the north side of the Market Square in Guiting Power. It dates from the 19th century and is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof and featuring limestone gable coping and ashlar stacks. The facade is symmetrical, with two storeys and a garret, and it has three windows. The windows are three-light stone-mullioned casements that include horizontal glazing bars. There are two doors situated between the ground floor windows; the right-hand door is a 20th-century six-panel door set in a 20th-century surround, which has an open triangular pediment supported by corbels. The left-hand doorway retains the copying surround of the original design but features a plain 20th-century door. The house has flat gable coping and both gable end and axial stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
