Description

GUITING POWER WINCHCOMBE ROAD SP 0924 (south side) 11/100 Corner Cottage (formerly listed as Cottage on south corner of The Green) 25.8.60 GV II

Detached cottage. Late C17-C18. Large blocks of coursed squared and dressed limestone with heightening in smaller blocks at a later date. Limestone slate roof with limestone stacks. Rectangular, extension to left end probably in C18. 2 storeys. Irregular fenestration. 3-light stone-mullioned window to first floor; 2- light double chamfered stone-mullioned windows to ground floor. All windows fixed metal casements with horizontal glazing bars. Central plank door with thumb latch. C20 gabled canopy supported on brackets over. Low C20 wall in front of door. Original entrance (now blocked) via door in right gable end, with plain flat-chamfered surround. Gable end stacks. Interior not inspected.
