Description

This is a barn dating from the late 18th century, located approximately 50 meters west of Bridge Farmhouse in Daglingworth. It is constructed of limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a projecting porch on the north-east side. There is a lean-to porch opposite, which has C20 corrugated iron and concrete block extensions that are not of special interest.

The north-east elevation showcases a central projecting porch with double plank doors and a hipped roof, while the opposite lean-to porch lacks doors. The walls contain square ventilation holes and slits, and there is an owl hole cut into a single rectangular stone block at one end. Additionally, there is a pitching window and owl hole with dressed stone jambs and a lintel on the gable end facing the road. Inside, the barn consists of five bays featuring original pegged roof trusses with collar and tie beams and triple purlins.
