Description
This barn, located approximately 70 meters north of Bouthrop House, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has six bays and includes a south porch and an outshut. The central porch on the south side has a hipped roof, a doorway with a timber lintel, and a plank door. To the right, there is an outshut with a catslide roof and lower plank doors. Owl holes are present in the gable ends. On the north side, there is a small central lean-to porch with a timber lintel and plank doors, as well as two rows of slit vents. Inside, the barn has a six-bay collar and tie beam truss roof, with brick and stone flag floors. Its location next to the churchyard is significant.
