Description

The Eastleach Turville Memorial Cross is a 5.2-meter tall stone memorial featuring a three-stepped base topped with a square plinth. From the plinth rises a tapering octagonal shaft, which ends in a moulded collar that supports a wheel-head cross. At the center of the cross, a small annulet is carved in low relief.

Each face of the plinth bears incised inscriptions. The main dedication reads "TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THE MEN OF OUR PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918," commemorating the names of 12 servicemen who died. There is also a later dedication for the Second World War, noting "1939 – 1945" alongside two names.

The memorial is set within a small gravelled area, which is enclosed by a low dry-stone wall.
