Description
26 and 27 Eastleach are two houses built in the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed from random rubble limestone with rubble chimneys and feature an artificial stone slate roof. The buildings are two stories tall, with a single-storey addition at the east end.
The front of the houses has three half gables, which likely indicates there were originally four. The fenestration includes four windows, with three on the left side being three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements that have hoodmoulds on the ground floor, and two-light windows in the gables. The doorway for No 27, located on the left, has a segmental arch, while No 26, on the right, features a doorway with a timber lintel, which has been altered. There are three chimneys mounted on the ridge. The single-storey addition at the east end is made of rock-faced rubble limestone. The rear has gabled roof dormers and a single-storey lean-to attached to No 27.
The interiors have not been inspected.
