Description
Nos. 22 to 25 in Eastleach Turville are former almshouses, now a row of four houses, built in 1871 for T S Bazley. The buildings are constructed from coursed rock-faced rubble limestone, with rubble chimneys topped with ashlar and red clay tile roofs. They are single-storey structures featuring a front with a central gable and two end gables that project outward. The central gable has a pointed trefoil-headed panel that reads, "THE GIFT OF WILLIAM ATKINSON IN MEMORY OF ROBERT GARDNER." The end gables have cross windows with flat hoodmoulds, while the main range includes 2-light mullioned casements. There are four projecting vertical boarded gabled porches, each with original plank doors and leaded side windows. The buildings also feature three ridge-mounted chimneys with rounded corners leading to ashlar shafts. The interiors have not been inspected.
