Description
The cast iron railings located on both sides of the road opposite Daglingworth House date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The railings on the east side of the lane extend for 30 meters and are mounted on a low wall made of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring saddleback coping. This section of railings ends at a square ashlar pier with a pyramidal coping at the southern end, while the northern end includes a gate leading to Daglingworth. On the west side of the road, the railings are set on a single course of dressed limestone blocks, terminating at a wall at the northern end and the corner of a walled garden. The railings are adorned with urn finials and double curving brackets on the stanchions.
