Description

This is an early to mid-17th century cottage located in Daglingworth, one of a pair (the other is listed separately). The cottage is built of limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and has stacks that were restored in the 20th century using roughly squared and dressed stone. It has a rectangular plan. A 20th-century extension to the rear is not considered to be of special interest.

The north-facing front has a gablet in the upper left corner and a Cotswold dormer to the right. Ground-floor windows include a 2-light and a 3-light metal casement, both dating from the 19th century and with timber lintels. The 3-light casement has leaded panes, and the 2-light metal casement has some leaded panes as well. A 2-light stone-mullioned casement, also with leaded panes and a stopped hood, is set within the dormer. A central 4-panel fielded door is protected by a timber lintel. There are two cross-ended tie plates visible. A semi-circular projecting stack, likely originally with a circular shaft, is located at the left gable end, along with a single axial stack. The interior was altered in the 20th century.
