Description
Glebe Farm House is a former farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a red tile roof and features one squared and dressed stone stack, along with another restored in the 20th century to imitate ashlar. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a later garage extension at the north-west gable end.
The house is two storeys high with an attic and has a 1.5 storey extension. The facade has three windows, primarily featuring 2 and 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, with one modern casement that matches the style set within the blocking of a former doorway. The far right-hand bay has flat-chamfered casements. There is a 19th-century plank door with a single large glazed pane located off-centre to the left, topped with a timber lintel, and a boot scraper is positioned to the left of the door. All casements are fitted with horizontal glazing bars.
The roof has two segmental-headed 2-light dormers covered with sheet metal, and the extension has a sliding double door. Above the extension, there is a shuttered window with a long timber lintel. The gable ends feature stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
