Description
This is a barn located to the west of Park Corner Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from random rubble limestone and features a stone-slate roof. The barn consists of eight bays and has two gabled porches on the west side. Each gabled porch has large plank barn doors with timber lintels. Although shelter sheds once ran along the length of the building, they have since been demolished. The barn has cross-gablet ridge vents at each gable end. The south end of the barn includes two owl holes in the gable, both lined with brick; one is square with a circular hole above it. Inside, there are collar and tie-beam trusses and two rows of purlins, but the interior is now divided by a blockwork wall. This barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
