Description

This is a barn with an attached cartshed located to the south of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, with a stone-slate roof covering the barn and a corrugated iron roof on the cartshed. The barn consists of five bays and has a loft at the north end.

On the west side, there is a low central doorway featuring a plank door, with a timber lintel and a stone relieving arch above it. To the left, there is a small pedestrian doorway with a timber lintel, and a garage doorway leading to the cartshed, which has a half-hipped roof.

The east side has large plank barn doors set in an opening with a timber lintel. The roof is sprocketed and extends over the doors to create a porch. Above the cartshed, there are a pair of small trefoil-headed lancets for the loft. At the north gable end, there is a high-level pitching doorway to the loft, along with a slit vent above it. The barn features a 19th-century king post truss roof. This building is included for its group value.
