Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 18th-century additions. It is built of random rubble limestone, partially covered in cement render, and features dressed windows. The building has two ashlar chimneys and one red brick chimney, with a stone-slate roof on the original 17th-century section and a red plain tile roof on the 18th-century additions.
The 17th-century part of the house is cross-gabled and has a two-room addition to the east and a single-storey kitchen added to the west. The front of the 17th-century house includes a 19th-century rectangular bay window with a hipped roof on the ground floor, a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould on the upper floor, and a two-light window in the attic. The parapet gables feature cross-roll saddles, and the 18th-century front has scattered fenestration, including one rectangular bay window with a hipped roof and a timber casement to the left with a timber lintel. The entrance features a moulded Tudor-arched doorway with a partially glazed 19th-century door, and there are three timber casements on the upper floor with rendered timber lintels, along with two roof dormers.
The kitchen to the left has altered fenestration and a very small roof dormer, with a brick chimney at the west end and a single-storey hipped roof addition beyond. At the back, the 17th-century house has a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould on the ground floor, a two-light window above, and a two-light window in the attic. The outshut at the back of the 18th-century wing has a catslide roof and two timber casements with timber lintels. The east gable end features scattered fenestration with two timber casements at different levels, both with timber lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
