Description

Park View is a detached house dating to circa 1840. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble limestone with ashlar dressings, ashlar chimneys, and a plain tile roof. The house is arranged around a central staircase hall with one room extending laterally, and includes a continuous rear outshut. It is a two-storey building.

The west front has three windows, featuring 16-pane sashes with deep stone lintels and jamb quoins. A central round-arched doorway is defined by jamb quoins, imposts, and a dressed stone arch, with a 6-panel fielded door and a fanlight above. Ridge chimneys are situated at the gable ends, with unmoulded strings and caps. The end gables are blank.

The rear outshut has a lean-to roof and a two-window back elevation. All windows have stone lintels, except for an additional window on the left-hand end, which has a timber lintel. The back elevation features timber casements, leaded to the upper floor, a plank door, and decorative iron gutter brackets. A walled garden is located at the front of the house.
