Description
Mace's House is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, which has been in the same family ownership since April 1716. It features a two-bay design with an end chimneystack and possibly includes a former bakehouse or brewhouse. The building is constructed from Cotswold stone rubble with a stone roof and end brick chimneystacks. The main part of the house has two storeys and two windows, with a one-storey section and one window to the right. The house has 19th-century casement windows in the original openings, complete with hood moulding, and two plain doorcases. Inside, the house retains flagstone floors, exposed ceiling beams, and open fireplaces, one of which includes an old range.
